What a wonderful site to see.....

I couldn't help but capture this picture when I walked into Harbour's room yesterday. WOW...finally a suitcase!! I'm amazed at the emotion that comes when I see this picture. Everything is now laundered and nice and neat in the suitcase ready to go. 2 more days......

Life is a roller coaster!

Only with the knowledge that GOD is in control can one handled the roller coaster that is life....

2 weeks ago we were finally given travel approval with many others and tentative travel was to be June 25th....Life is up! Last Wednesday everyone received the heartbreaking email that there are some "new guidelines" for our adoptions and that everyone has been postponed to July...Life is down! Thursday, within 24hrs of that email, a new one was sent out to many of us saying that things have been worked out for the most part and BOOK YOUR TRAVEL...Life is waaaay up! So currently we are booking airfare...and dreading every email that may come from our agency because it might say to postpone. What a journey we are having. I'm praying our sweet Harbour is safe, healthy and happy. It is currently looking like she only has to wait 2 more weeks!

We have had and interesting spring with soccer as well. It was the season of rain-outs. I think half of our games were played on Fridays instead of practice. All I can say is that our son is AWESOME! I'm a mom and allowed to brag.... :) I have loved watching him play and the determination that goes along with it. He has become...cool....I guess is the word. He no longer jumps up and down after scoring a goal. He just looks for us to make sure we saw it and runs non-chalantly to the coach for a high five. He'll talk about it all day though.... so there is still excitement for the game!

Photo update from China

Thanks to the wonderful world of swine flu ( I hope I can look back and laugh later), we are still waiting on our travel approval. It's hard enough for us to understand and know God has a plan...but try explaining that to a 5 year old who seems just as anxious to get his baby sister home! It just seems so weird to be going a million miles a minute...to just getting things together as you can because you know you know have time. Patience is not my strength, but I am learning more and more each day! A silver lining on this gloomy cloud, though, is that we received an update on our little girl. She is now almost 10mos. She has grown a lot since our initial photo and just so PRECIOUS!!! Being the peds nurse I am of course I go right to putting the measurements given onto a growth chart. Imagine my surprise that weight wise she is on the "non-Asian" growth chart in the first place..then imagine my shock that she is 75% for her height. Oh, well...she is from northern China!

Life in the fast lane.....REFERRAL!

Hello to all!! Yea...the Greens are finally blogging :) Our life has hit record speed in the last month! Sunday March 29th I opened my email to find the most wonderful message.. "we have locked a file of a beautiful little girl for you to review..". After accepting our beautiful little Harbour Lian, we were told it would be 2 weeks for pre-approval and then 4 mos before our Letter of Seeking Confirmation. In one week our pre-approval was sent. The next week I received a call at work informing me that our LOC was here now instead of 4 mos. SURPRISE! You're traveling in June!!! We are now at a tentative 5 weeks from travel and there seems to be so much to do...but the key is to have fun doing it!! This blog is a way for others to follow our journey, not only to bring home Harbour, but our life in general. Thanks for "traveling" with us....
